More Luxury and Benefits

I have been using this down time to increase my knowledge and also ensure that within my practice I am doing everything I can to safeguard my clients and myself when we are once again allowed to operate.

I have recently undertaken a Herbal Compress course, Herbal Compress Massage is well-known for its relaxation qualities, but this flower-bursting pick-me-up can also improve blood circulation and promote cell growth. The heat of the muslin cloth warms the skin, blood vessels across the body begin to dilate which kickstarts the efficiency of different internal organs. But that’s not all! An array of beneficial herbs are used in the compress and these can do different things for different parts of the body: lemongrass and kaffir lime boosts immune system, turmeric contains anti-inflammatories and liquorish can

lighten dark circles under the eyes and rose can improve skin complexion. Perfect!

Hot Herbal Compress Massage can be added to your existing Reflexology or Massage treatments or received as a stand alone therapy. It helps boost emotional well-being while soothing aching muscles and stiff joints. Sticking to traditional techniques, a muslin cloth is infused with herbs, flowers and spices and then steamed to release their medicinal properties. Your therapist will then move the compress balls across your face, neck and shoulders or feet, creating a series of circular motions to aid the release of toxins and penetrate heat into the tissues. Each therapist uses their own blend of herbs, but a mix of lemongrass, turmeric, rose flowers, kaffir lime leaves and camphor are our favourites. Treatments usually last 60-90 minutes, this irresistible pick-me-up feels and smells wonderful!
